Oldgreytravel is a website for the independent, mature traveller. Living in the South of England, I am a writer, photographer and historic building expert. Like many of my generation, my younger years were devoted to backpacking around various parts of the world. Unlike many, this carried on until well into my forties when marriage and children entered my world. Approaching my retirement years, the prospect of renewed travel is an exciting prospect, both solo and with my young family. Having over forty years of organizing independent travel across five continents, I hope to be able to provide helpful advice and tips that will help you to enjoy more of the world around us.
